Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 August 2026 ·support@scout.nuits.net

These terms are not legal advice. Add the operator's registered legal name and address, and obtain legal review before enterprise contracts.

1. Agreement

By accessing or signing in to SignalScout athttps://scout.nuits.net (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

2. The Service

SignalScout is a B2B research tool that:

  • Researches public-web trigger signals for leads you provide and drafts personalized outreach copy.
  • Builds structured competitor battlecards from public sources.
  • Re-checks accounts on your watchlist once a week and reports what changed.
  • Delivers those findings to destinations you connect, described in section 4.
  • Offers a limited free sample without an account.

You bring your own lead lists. We research the public web for the reason. We do not scrape, sell, or resell contact databases.

Research is stored against your account only. We do not build a shared company database from customer watchlists, and one customer's research is never used to answer another customer's check.

The Service uses AI systems. Generated signals, emails, and battlecards are AI-generated content and may be incomplete or wrong.

3. Accounts

Access uses magic-link email authentication. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You may log out, export your data, or delete your account from the app.

4. Credits, pricing, and payments

  • One successfully researched lead costs one credit. One successfully researched competitor costs one credit. Failed units are not charged.
  • Credits are prepaid, do not reset monthly, and do not auto-renew unless we later offer a subscription and you opt in.
  • Polar acts as Merchant of Record and handles payment processing, applicable tax, and customer receipts.
  • Prices are shown in USD unless stated otherwise. Polar may add tax at checkout based on location.

Accounts on your watchlist

An account on your watchlist is checked once a week and costs one credit per check. Three rules govern that, and they are the same three shown in the app:

  • A quiet week is billed. You pay for the check, not for the outcome. We would rather tell you nothing changed than invent a reason.
  • A failed or inconclusive check is refunded. If we could not read enough of the public web to answer, the credit goes back as a visible entry in your ledger.
  • Skipped weeks never backfill. If your balance runs out, the watchlist pauses. Nothing is deleted, missed checks are recorded, and topping up resumes from the next check day. You are never charged three times for three missed weeks.

Your weekly cost is shown before you add an account and stays visible in the credits panel. We do not offer automatic top-up.

Delivery

The credit pays for the check, not for the delivery. If a Slack workspace, webhook, or CRM you connected is unavailable, the signal is still in the app and your balance is unchanged. Writeback to a connected CRM is free.

You are responsible for the destinations you connect: that you are entitled to install an app in that Slack workspace, that you own the webhook endpoint, and that you may write to that CRM account. You may disconnect any destination at any time, and we will attempt to revoke the associated access at the provider. One SignalScout account may be connected to a given Slack workspace at a time.

5. Refunds

  • Unused credits are generally non-refundable after purchase as a digital prepaid balance.
  • If payment succeeded but credits were not granted due to our technical failure, contact support. We will grant the credits or arrange a refund through Polar.
  • If you believe Polar charged you twice, contact support with the order ID.
  • Chargeback abuse may result in account termination.

6. AI outputs and warranties

Research signals, source links, confidence scores, emails, and battlecards may beincomplete, outdated, or wrong. You must verify sources and facts before relying on them or contacting anyone. We do not guarantee deliverability, reply rates, sales outcomes, legal compliance of copy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Outputs are provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, non-infringement, and accuracy of AI-generated content.

7. Acceptable use and your compliance duties

SignalScout never contacts your prospects. We deliver research to you: in the app, by email digest to your own address, to a Slack workspace you connect, to a webhook you own, or as a note on a record in a CRM you connect. Every one of those destinations belongs to you. We do not send messages to the people we research, we do not connect to your mail account to send, and we do not enroll anyone in a sequence.

Sending is therefore yours, and so is responsibility for how you use outputs. You agree that you will:

  • Comply with applicable laws for commercial email and messaging, including identification and opt-out duties.
  • Have a lawful basis to process personal data in lead lists you upload.
  • Not use the Service to harass, discriminate, defraud, phish, or violate another person's rights.
  • Not bypass metering, abuse the free tool, unlawfully reverse engineer the Service, or overload our systems.
  • Not upload unlawful content or lists obtained through unauthorized scraping.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

We own the Service software, branding, and documentation. You retain ownership of your inputs. Subject to these Terms, you may use generated outputs for your business. You grant us a limited license to process your inputs only to provide the Service.

9. Subprocessors and DPA

Infrastructure and research providers include Cloudflare, Polar, Resend, OpenRouter and providers it routes to, Exa, Firecrawl, and optionally Sentry. If you connect them, Slack and HubSpot receive the signals you route there. See thePrivacy Policy for details. Business customers processing personal data via lead inputs may also rely on theData Processing Addendum.

A webhook endpoint you configure is not a subprocessor of ours. It is a destination you choose and operate, and data reaching it is an onward transfer at your instruction.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the greater of amounts you paid for credits in the three months before the claim or USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for outcomes of outreach you send.

11. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your lead lists, your outreach, your violation of law, or your misuse of outputs.

12. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. If model or research providers are unavailable, runs may fail. Credits are not charged for units that were not successfully researched, and a scheduled check that could not complete is refunded as a visible entry in your ledger. A delivery outage does not affect your balance, because the credit paid for the check.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate for breach, abuse, or legal risk. Polar may retain payment records under its duties as Merchant of Record.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's principal place of business, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts there have exclusive jurisdiction except where consumer protection law requires otherwise. Update this clause when the legal entity is registered.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after the “Last updated” date constitutes acceptance of material changes that we notify in the product or by email where required.

16. Contact and support

support@scout.nuits.net. Expected response is within two business days for this solo-operated product. There is no phone support agreement.
